[Big Changes]

[o]10:40 Just thought I'd let ye all know, I've decided to leave AOL and strike out into the world of Web Design. (Don't worry, everybody, I did tell Mum in person on the phone first!).

I'm going to work for Leslie Brown in I've worked for him on a part time basis for the last 5 years or so, and the business has progressed enough that it makes sense for me to start there full time. I'll be getting a bit more money plus bonuses, and I'll be doing work that I really enjoy, and that I'm good at.

I'm pretty nervous, truth be told, but I just think that it should be great fun. I also happen to think that and have the potential to be real money spinners, and I want to get in on the ground floor.

Leslie is great to work for, and I've sort of been adopted into the family. It's a great working environment, and they let me play music while I work, which, since I am currently listening to Limp Bizkit, Staind and Linkin Park, is remarkably tolerant!

It will also give me the opportunity to learn some new stuff, (PHP and MySQL) which will allow us to build better websites, and they are very marketable skills.

If it all doesn't work out, I can always come back to AOL. I've been told there is a job for me here if I ever need it, and that's a great comfort.

Anyway, I'd better get back to work, I'll keep ye updated as time goes on.

CONGRATULATIONS! Good for you. It's hard leaving the coziness of your job, but I already know you're good at it, so you'll do great. And if you're happier but making less money that's good. Except you'll be happy and making MORE which is excellent.

Thanks :)

I'm really looking forward to it, and it's near enough to torture coming into AOL instead of going to every day! I've been told that as soon as they have found someone to replace me, I can go, so I'm badgering them every day to try and get them to move on that!

It's not like I don't like working for AOL, it's that I enjoy working for so much more :)

Anyway, I better get back to work :(
